Spooky, Fun-Filled Fall

We had a magical October at Broadmoor Preschool! We started the month out learning all about life on the farm; we played with farm animal figurines, shucked corn, “sheared sheep”, drove our tractors through the “mud” and made big muddy rainbow arches in the garden.

All of that practice made our REAL trip to the farm even more special! That’s right, Broadmoor had its first field trip of the year to Joan’s Farm and Pumpkin Patch and boy, was it a blast! We fed goats, climbed trees, picked out pumpkins, and went for a ride on a train made of repurposed barrels.

Our fall festivities continued back at Broadmoor with fizzy pumpkin science in our water trough and hammering practice with golf tees in jack-o-lanterns.

We topped the month off by constructing a Dia De Los Muertos altar and putting on a Halloween parade where our little ones had a chance to show off their creative and adorable costumes.

This month was a whirlwind of fun, and we can’t wait for more play-based wonder in November!
